And here comes, the last date of the year, Date with Joe Ruelle…
Yen was so lucky to have this date with Joe… She was so excited that, though I was waiting for her at Sheraton Hotel, she drove to Sofitel Plaza and called me! haha. Anyway, it is quite close… so it does not take much time for her to roll the wheels quickly to see ‘Dâu Tây’!
Well… I have to say that Joe has such a great Vietnamese accent! And he asked us about Thanh - one of the famous faces of Operation Smile Vietnam for the successful operation as well as the beautiful smile he has… And he asked, why the children called him Thanh ’sut’?
In Vietnamese, ’sut’ means cleft… he had the cleft lip during his childhood and that’s why the little kids living in the area made it a nickname for him and it was with him until now… And yes… you might know so well how a kid with a cleft lip is treated, though it is just a nickname, it might affects his psychology, his thoughts, his behavior… he will be shy and does not want to go to school for not being laughed at… and his life will never be changed…
Well… Joe and Yen have shared lots of stories about Operation Smile and even the HOT NEWS in the world. Wow! What a nice date! ;))
Anyway, Tun, another winner did not show up for some reasons, so Joe will invite Tun and Yen out for an other cinema show later!!
How are you today???? Excited and Looking forward to the new photos?????
So now he knows the word ‘Sứt’ in Vietnamese and will help more children to get away from ’sứt’, rite????
You guys are awesome in this activity!
huk,mấy cái ảnh đẹp quá, làm thế nào để được như vậy..:D
